Denten Park, Chief Executive Officer
Denten Park was appointed to the Chief Executive Officer role in early December 2009, after having served as Mountain View’s Chief Operating Officer for 18 months. Prior to his arrival in Las Cruces, Park was associate CEO at Payson Regional Medical Center in Arizona and interim CEO of a Utah hospital, and served as the administrator of both a long-term care facility and a center for developmentally disabled in Wyoming. He also has a background in private retail business. He has a B.A. degree and a Master's in Business Administration from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.
Gene Alexander, Chief Financial Officer
Gene Alexander came to MountainView Regional Medical Center with the objective of opening the facility in 2001, and has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the organization since that time. Alexander has over twenty years of experience in the Healthcare industry, having worked for hospitals in California, Nevada and New Mexico. Among his many achievements in developing effective financial management systems throughout his years of experience, he is also keenly aware of the ever-changing dynamics of the hospital industry, and works diligently to assure the stability of the hospital’s finances throughout the changes and challenges that continue to exist in this dynamic industry. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Accountancy degree from Northern Arizona University.
Timothy N. Thornell, FACHE, CMPE, Chief Operating Officer
Tim Thornell joined MountainView Regional Medical Center in July 2010. He comes to Las Cruces from Yakima, Washington, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Associate Administrator for Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center since 2008.
Tim brings a number of years of experience in managing physician practices to Mountain View as well, having been the HMA Divisional Physician Practice Manager for the Western Division, and the Administrator for the Central Washington Medical group as well. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree is Physiology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of California, Davis. He also holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of Southern California.
Tim is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Julie Reyes, Chief Quality Officer
Julie Reyes joined MountainView Regional Medical Center in July of 2010. She comes to Las Cruces from her home town of Kansas City. Julie has over 15 years experience in the medical industry, beginning her career as a nurse's aid. Julie received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Missouri Western State University and the went on to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing and her Masters of Business of Business Administration from the University of Mary. Julie brings with her a wealth of experience in organizational process improvement, utilizing her training in Lean Six Sigma. Her strong drive and determination to constantly look for ways to improve the organization and healthcare makes her a great asset to the community.
Gayle Nash, Chief Nursing Officer
Gayle Nash brings 30 years of clinical and administrative experience to Mountain View Regional Medical Center. Her personal goal for the organization is “to uphold professional accountability on all matters of health service delivery, quality and utilization, design, development and administration of healthcare and service responsibilities.” Nash believes that the key to effective administration is to “bring out the best in people through team centered leadership, while maintaining a progressive focus toward quality patient care.” Having served as Chief Nursing officer for hospitals throughout West Texas and Southern New Mexico, consultant for hospitals nationwide, and as a nurse surveyor for The Joint Commission, Nash has a proven track record for outcome success achieved through tenacious dedication and commitment.
