Visiting Information Overview
At MountainView we want to partner with friends and family to ensure that the visiting experience is a valuable part of the healing process. The help patients receive the care and rest they need, we ask that visitors abide by our visiting policy.
Most departments and areas abide by the following hours. Each department may have their own guidelines. This information will be provided by those units, and we encourage our visitors to ask about those individual policies.
The number of visitors and length of visit time will be at the discretion of the caregivers.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and will not be allowed in isolation areas, for their protection and the protection of the patient.
Please note that ensure the health and safety of our patients and visitors, during flu and RSV season, (approximately November-April) children under the age of 12 are not allowed pat the firs floor lobby, and must not be left unattended.
Clergy of all faiths are welcome to visit patients at any time, at the discretion of the patient and nurse.
- Overnight Visitors
- Family members need their rest so they can support their loved ones. Sleeping in the lobby or other patient areas is prohibited, but on occasion it may be desirable for a patient to have one relative or friend remain overnight. Please speak to the Clinical Nurse Leader if you have any questions.
- General Visiting Hours
- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

- ICU Visiting Hours
- 9 a.m. to 6: 30 p.m.
- 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

- ICU Closed for Patient Assessment Time
- To allow time for physician and nurse collaboration and patient assessments, the ICU is closed to visitors during the following hours.
- 6 a.m to 9 a.m.
- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

- Women's Services
- Visiting hours in Women's Services are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but partners and immediate family members are welcome any time.

- Emergency Department
- Visitors are welcome, but because the Emergency Department is a busy place, the number of visitors may be limited. There may be times when visitors are not permitted. Staff will keep you informed in these situations. Visitors are asked to stay clear of hallways and doorways.
