Critical Care / Intensive Care

State-of-the-art technology, a team of trained specialists and constant individual monitoring distinguish the ICU at MountainView Regional. Medical, cardiac, post-surgical and minor trauma patients receive the highest level of care on this unit.

Medical/Surgical

The Medical/Surgical Care Department is a 39-bed unit that cares for adult and pediatric medical and surgical patients in a safe and comfortable setting. The nursing staff consists of specially trained, skilled nurses dedicated to ensuring that patients receive the highest standards of care.

Pediatrics

MountainView Regional Medical Center’s Pediatric Department is an 8-bed unit with central monitoring capabilities. This department is committed to family centered care. We recognize that when a child becomes ill, the entire family is affected. Our goal is to meet the needs of your family, from admission through discharge, by providing continuing information and education regarding your child's hospital stay.

Our patients enjoy a comfortable child oriented environment with a well-equipped playroom, children's menu, as well as meals and sleeping accommodations for the parent who chooses to stay with their child. We are confident that our staff of friendly pediatric nurses can assist your family with making a difficult time as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Obstetrics

When it comes to the birth of your baby, we understand that you want to know about all of the care and comfort options available to you. At MountainView Regional, you do have choices. Like using a birthing ball or taking a whirlpool bath to relax during early labor.

We've designed our OB Unit with the comfort of mom, baby and family in mind. From our decorated private labor and delivery suites to the loungers nearby for dad, we're ready to make your birthing experience relaxing and enjoyable. MountainView Regional is the first hospital in our community to offer in-house 24-hour anesthesia services.

We also offer the state-of-the-art infant protection program – HUGS. It is safe, reliable and baby-friendly. That’s what you want from any system to protect your infants and children from the threat of abduction.

Goodmoms logo

Goodmoms is a comprehensive maternity program that guides new parents-month by month-through pregnancy. Any expectant mother who is planning to deliver at MountainView Regional is eligible to join Goodmoms. Expectant parents who join Goodmoms will receive:

Monthly Informational Newsletters

Beginning the first trimester, these monthly newsletters provide valuable information about what you will be experiencing-and how your baby is developing-for that month. The newsletters continue through your baby's first two months to provide you with helpful information and tips on infant care.

Goodmoms Take-Home Kit

When you go home with your new baby, you will receive a keepsake footprint certificate of your newborn, a MountainView sunshade, Goodmoms baby bib and a canvas tote to carry your baby gear home from the hospital.

Outpatient Surgery Center

The Outpatient Surgery Center at MountainView Regional makes it possible for patients to undergo many diagnostic tests and standard surgical procedures in a relaxed, outpatient setting. You’ll benefit from the same highly qualified medical staff, new technology and hospital services – without an overnight hospital stay.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapists are trained to help people regain movement and function in their daily lives. Emphasis is placed on the resolution of pain and restoration of abilities needed for posture, balance, and coordination of movement. Individual education programs are developed to promote active, healthy lifestyles to reduce the risk of future disability and improve quality of life.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists help people recovering from injury or illness which effect the use of upper extremities and limit function for activities of daily living. Therapists can also assist in adaptations and use of adaptive equipment when appropriate to enhance coping skills. Occupational therapy focuses on developing programs that assist people and their family to independently manage their daily lives.

Speech Therapy

Speech-language therapists assess each patient’s cognitive, speech, and language abilities. They develop treatment programs to assist people communicate to the highest level of their abilities. Therapists also evaluate and treat the person’s swallowing skills and implement strategies for improving their feeding abilities.

Telemetry

Our Telemetry unit is a 33-bed unit with a team of highly skilled physicians, nurses and allied health professionals.We combine high-tech cardiac monitoring with individualized hands-on care to newly diagnosed cardiac patients and patients with chronic cardiac diagnosis.
