Mountain View Regional Medical Center

Visiting Information Overview

To help patients receive the care and rest they need to assist with the healing process, we ask that visitors abide by our visiting policy. General visiting hours on the units are from 9:00am until 9:00pm. This time frame refers to the allowable time that family and friends may visit. The number of visitors and length of time will be at the discretion of the caregivers of the patient. Please note that such units as ICU, Women’s Services and Cath Care, may have other separate policies addressing visitors. This information will be provided by, those units and we encourage our visitors to ask about these individual policies. Visitors may be asked to leave the unit should any emergency arise.

Family members need their rest also so that you can support your loved one, but sleeping in the lobby or other patient waiting areas is prohibited. On occasion it may be desirable for a patient to have one relative or friend remain overnight. The Clinical Nurse Leader will make the final determination concerning overnight visitors.

Children under the age of 14 need to be under adult supervision at all times and will not be allowed in isolation rooms for their protection and the protection of the patient.

Clergy of all faiths are welcome to visit at any time at patient request and nurse discretion.

We at MountainView want to partner with friends and families to ensure that the visiting experience is a valuable part of the healing process.

The above information does not cover the entire visitor policy, visiting times may vary depending on patient condition and charge nurse assessment.
