10/3/2022
Las Cruces, NM - MountainView Regional Medical Center (MVRMC) celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. From the beginning, known for quality care, MVRMC provides a wide range of services to close to 600,000 patients annually from Las Cruces and the surrounding communities.
“It’s amazing to realize all of the advancements and accomplishments that have taken place in the past 20 years,” said MVRMC Chief Executive Officer Matthew Conrad. "Our theme is ‘20 years of serving our community. It's inspiring to see how many employees, physicians, nurses, and volunteers have been dedicated to caring for the people in the communities we are so proud to serve.”
Twenty years after opening the doors, MVRMC is now a 168-bed hospital with 223 active physicians providing our patients with specialized care and surgical services. Each year, we treat more than 45,000 patients in our ERs, deliver 1,500 babies and perform an average of 12,000 surgeries, including robotic surgeries. Since acquiring our first robot in 2015, MountainView surgeons have performed more than 3,300 robotic-assisted surgeries.
Additionally, we admit 8,500 patients to MountainView Regional Medical Center for inpatient care, and have more than 500,000 outpatient visits to our outpatient centers and physician clinics annually.
MVRMC is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is designated as a Level III Trauma Center by the New Mexico Department of Health. The hospital includes a specialized Heart and Vascular Center, and accredited specialty centers, including our Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, Sleep Medicine Center and Total Joint Replacement Center.
The original design for patient care and comfort has expanded into a sprawling medical campus and locations throughout Las Cruces, including three urgent care centers, a free standing emergency department, 10 primary care and 13 specialty care clinics and specialty centers.
While celebrating the past, MVRMC administration continues to focus on the future by enhancing the level of care provided. This includes recruiting new providers, implementing new programs and services, and updating our hospital to ensure our patients, staff and visitors have a comfortable and welcoming environment. We are proud to be training physicians for the future through our graduate medical education program. We welcomed 44 new residents in 2022, expanding the care we provide to the community.
