Orthopedic Surgery
Overview
Welcome to the MountainView Regional Medical Center orthopedic surgery residency program, accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). We are no longer accepting new residents. Our inaugural class started July 1st, 2016, and accepted three residents who have successfully graduated under the AOA. Under the AOA’s restricted authority, we will continue to train and graduate the remaining eight residents in our program. We are proud to continue to offer our trainees a well-rounded education in all aspects of orthopedic surgery.
Mission and Vision
The mission of the MountainView Regional Medical Center (MVRMC) orthopedic surgery residency program is to advance musculoskeletal medicine, surgery and science in Southern New Mexico. In this underserved area, the program focuses on the use of basic science, clinical research, outstanding patient care and practice-based improvement. This program provides an educational experience for the physician seeking board certification as a competent and ethical orthopedic surgeon.
