Visiting Rotation Process
To apply for a visiting rotation at MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, please complete the following steps below. Burrell medical students, please contact your regional academic center coordinator for rotations at MountainView Regional Medical Center.
Step 1: Complete the Visiting Rotation Request Approval Form and email it to the institutional coordinator after it has been signed by the rotation site director. Please note, for internal medicine wards rotations, the institutional coordinator will obtain the approval signature for you. The institutional coordinator will submit the form to the designated institutional official for approval. If approved, continue to step 2.
Step 2: Complete the Application for Visiting Rotation at MountainView Regional Medical Center via the Google Forms link and email the institutional coordinator, when the form has been submitted. If you have any questions, please email or call (575) 556-7763.
Step 3: Create a CastleBranch account 30-45 days prior to the start of the rotation. View instructions here. Once an account is created in CastleBranch, please send us an email. The system doesn’t provide notification. The required documents will need to be uploaded by you into CastleBranch no later than 30 days prior to rotation and verified for completion.
Step 4: Upon receiving clearance, you will be provided with an IT username, password and instructions to obtain an ID badge from HR on your rotation start date.
Please note, MVRMC allows visiting rotations for up to 1 month only and on a first come, first served basis. An Affiliation Agreement with your medical school/ACGME accredited residency program must be in place at least 3 months in advance of the scheduled visiting rotation. Rotations are subject to change and/or may be cancelled with national, state, and/or hospital policy changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In any case, we will ensure prompt communication regarding any delays or cancellation of a rotation.
