MountainView Medical Group Opens New Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic

Las Cruces NM, 1 July 2020—MountainView Medical Group announces the formation of the MountainView Medical Group Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery clinic. The providers that will be located in this clinic are Daniel Allan, M.D., FACS, and Patricia Shaw, FNP-BC, DCNP.
On July 1, 2020, Daniel Allan, MD, FACS, joins the MountainView Medical Group after a lengthy career as an independent cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery specialist in Las Cruces, NM. Dr. Allan has over 45 years of experience in the medical field. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the oldest and most respected professional organization of surgeons in the United States, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the largest organization of board-certified plastic surgeons in the country, and a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has been actively practicing plastic surgery in Las Cruces since 1981.
Dr. Allan graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He attended general surgery residency at St Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI and plastic surgery residency at Wright State University Affiliated Hospitals in Dayton OH. He then completed his fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago IL.
Dr. Allan’s practice focusses on cleft palate and cleft lip reconstruction, breast reconstruction, rhinoplasty, hand surgery, cosmetic and plastic surgery.
Also practicing out of this clinic will be Patricia Shaw, FNP-BC, DCNP. Patricia is a dermatology certified nurse practitioner and a board certified family nurse practitioner. She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.
Patricia has been associated with MountainView Medical Group for several years. Prior to joining MountainView, she was affiliated with Rio Grande Medical Group. She was also previously employed in Colorado at the Northern Colorado Allergy and Asthma Clinics, where she diagnosed and treated eczema, urticaria (hives), seasonal, drug, and food allergies. She also performed biopsies, diagnosed and treated skin cancers, rashes, acne, and various dermatologic skin diseases. She practiced with Board Certified Allergists (AAAAI)/Affiliate of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).
Patricia earned her Master of Science Nursing / Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley CO. She conducted her dermatology internship at the Northern Colorado Allergy & Asthma Clinics.
Patricia Shaw’s outpatient services will focus on full body skin exam, skin cancer/biopsies, acne/iPledge program, rosacea, eczema, rashes and nail abnormalities.
In joining the MountainView Medical Group as an employed physician, Dr. Allan is now able to leverage the assets of the community’s largest integrated medical care delivery team.
