More than 610,000 times last year, we were privileged to provide quality healthcare for our Doña Ana County neighbors. As we care for you and the place we all call home, our impact is deep, contributing nearly $239 million to the region through charity/uncompensated care provided, reinvestment in services, employee payroll, payment of more than $35 million in taxes supporting local schools and civic resources and our charitable projects.
Patients have more access to services, and we’ve enhanced the patient experience through more than $10 million in capital projects. We expanded our diagnostic capabilities by investing in a new CT machine and opened a new Urgent Care at Lohman to reach the growing neighborhoods in the area. Additionally, we recruited several new providers to join the orthopedics team and welcomed two Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine graduates to MountainView Family Care Associates. Physicians who stay local have the benefit of building lasting relationships, understanding local health needs and providing better continuity of care.
MountainView also continues to focus on bringing more heart care options closer to home, with a cardiologist, cardiovascular surgeon and interventional cardiologist on the medical staff, supported by cardiac nurse practitioners and physician assistants. In June 2025, MountainView became the first hospital in southern New Mexico to successfully implant a dual chamber leadless pacemaker, performed by cardiologist Dr. Craig Cannon and the cardio catheterization lab team.
Every new physician, advanced technology or facility supports local residents and even patients who come from other hospitals throughout New Mexico. Health is central to quality of life, and we are committed to offering quality medical services here in Doña Ana County to make it easier to get the care you need. It’s a privilege to transform lives every day, helping patients manage their health at every stage of life.
The childbirth team was privileged to help area families grow with the delivery of more than 1,500 babies in 2025. MountainView’s employed OB/GYNs deliver more babies than any other hospital in the community.
Emergency medicine continues to be a vital service, with more than 47,000 visits to the emergency room at our hospital and MountainView Emergency Center at North Main – the only freestanding emergency room in Doña Ana County. We provide lifesaving medically necessary care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, delivering nearly $61 million in charity and uncompensated care and resources to help them secure medications and medical support devices.
We are also the area's only level III trauma center, with a team experienced in treating even the most serious issues. MountainView is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission and designated as an accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI by the American College of Cardiology.
Through financial donations and acts of service, we support local charitable and community organizations including Amador Health Center; Jardin de los Niños; and La Casa, Inc. Additionally, our third annual Jars of Love drive collected more than 4,700 jars of peanut and other nut butters for Casa de Peregrinos Emergency Food Program.
The heart of MountainView is our dedicated team of physicians, nurses and staff. Payroll of more than $137 million supports their tireless, around the clock delivery of quality care and we are grateful for their service.
