Foot & Ankle Surgery
If non-surgical conservative treatments such as anti-inflammatories or bracing hasn’t helped with your foot or ankle injury or arthritis, the team at MountainView Orthopedics offers foot and ankle surgery. Surgical options include ankle fusion as well as ankle replacement, both primary and revision total ankle replacement. The surgical team has experience with multiple implants, which allows them to tailor your care and use the best implant for your specific condition and anatomy.
Total Ankle Replacement
The foot and ankle surgical team offers both primary and revision joint replacement as well as primary and revision implants. The surgical team uses patient-specific instrumentation (PSI) that is custom to every total ankle replacement patient. This includes using a CT scan to develop preoperative navigation and a surgical treatment plan. The surgeon then uses custom, 3D-printed guides made for a patient’s specific anatomy to create an ankle implant that is as close to a natural fit as possible. This approach has been shown to improve patient outcomes and increase surgical efficiency.
Surgical Treatment for Ankle Instability
Ankle instability occurs after repeated ankle sprains or with certain foot deformities that result in weakening or loosening of the ligaments on the outside of your ankle. The team at MountainView Orthopedics offers both open and minimally invasive approaches for the treatment of ankle instability. This includes arthroscopic surgery with debridement of the ankle joint and repair of the lateral ankle ligaments and any other associated injuries.
The orthopedics surgical team works closely with physical therapists to help you return to activity as soon as possible.
